Ashley Monk is the executive administrative coordinator at Urban Growers Collective. Ashley is an activist farmer, social justice organizer, radical mycologist, student, teacher, and artist. Ashley has practiced regenerative agriculture across the country, including managing a bio-intensive greenhouse at Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture, practicing agroforestry in the Catskills, managing a start-up aquaponics farm, and consulting on urban and rural farming projects in New York and the midwest. Prior to farming and food systems work, Ashley worked for human rights and arts organizations, specializing in nonprofit administration, including communications, marketing, development, fundraising, and event planning and coordination. Ashley received a BIS in Global Studies, Cultural Studies and Comparative Literature, and Art from the University of Minnesota.
