Azziza Robinson is the Youth Program Coordinator at Urban Growers Collective. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Food Science from Tuskegee University in Alabama, and her Masters in Food Studies from Chatham University in Pittsburgh. Originally from Illinois, Azziza has spent the past four years working with community gardening non-profit organizations, as well as with black farmers, mainly in Pennsylvania and Alabama. She has focused on promoting sustainable agricultural practices and increasing food sovereignty in low income black and brown communities.
