Our Collective Supported Agriculture (CSA) program is a subscription that allows members to receive weekly shares of fresh, local produce grown by Urban Growers Collective and our partners. Shares are stocked with vegetables and culinary herbs from UGC, fruit from Seedling Farm, and microgreens from Urban Eden, which started as an incubation farm at UGC. As a member of our CSA, you are helping us build a more equitable local food system that directly supports BIPOC farmers and ranchers.

The best part of a CSA is that you’ll receive a wide variety of produce throughout the season. This means the contents of your share will change from week to week, and the produce will always be perfectly fresh and ripe. Some of the fruits and vegetables in your share might be new to you, and that’s great! We love to grow and to eat fun and exciting produce.

Our CSA boxes are packed fresh each Friday and distributed the next day.

Why Collective Supported Agriculture?

CSA in America was conceived by Booker T. Whatley, an Alabama horticulturist and Tuskegee University professor.  He advocated for "smaller and smarter" farming and created what he called “clientele membership clubs,” now known as CSA, so that small farmers could sell direct to eaters. At Urban Growers Collective we call our CSA program, "Collective Supported Agriculture" to highlight the ways in which we include our customers in our ecosystem of partners advocating for sustainable growth and development through urban agriculture. We couldn't do this work without you!
